Bayazid Bostami was a famous Muslim saint. From his childhood, he was very obedient to his mother. He loved and respected her very much. One night, his mother was sleeping. Suddenly, she woke up and asked Bayazid to give her a glass of water.

Bayazid went to the kitchen to bring water. But there was no water in the pitcher. So, he went to a nearby well and brought some water. By the time he returned, his mother had fallen asleep again.

Bayazid did not want to disturb her sleep. He stood beside her bed with the glass of water in his hand. He waited patiently throughout the night. He did not sit down or leave the place because he wanted to serve his mother as soon as she woke up.
